Recipe of Kasuri Paneer (Veg item)

INGREDIENTS


1)  250 gram of Fresh Paneer (Cottage Cheese)

2)  2 Green Chilies

3)  25 gram Poppy Seeds (Posto)

4)  25 gram Cashews (Kaju)

5)  1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi Powder)

6)  1 tablespoon Cumin Powder (Jeera Powder)

7)  1 tablespoon Red Chili Powder (Lal Mirch Powder)

8)  1 tablespoon Fennel Seed Powder (Saunf or Mouri Powder)

9)  1 tablespoon Hot Spices (Garam Masala)

10)  2 tablespoon dried Fenugreek Leaves ( Kasuri Methi)

11)  1 teaspoon Sugar

12)  Salt as per your taste

13)  Ghee (Clarified Butter)

14)  Refined oil



PROCEDURE


1.  Cut the Paneer into equal slices.

2.  Make a fine paste of Cashew, Poppy Seeds and Green Chilies with some water in a Mixer Grinder and keep it aside.

3.  Take a pan, put 2 tablespoon of refined oil and 2 tablespoon of ghee and heat it.

4.  Put the sliced paneer into the pan. Add the turmeric powder and some salt to it and fry it for 5 minutes in a low flame.




5.  Take out the Paneer from the pan and keep it aside.
6.  In the same pan, add 2 tablespoon of refined oil and heat it.
7.  Now put the paste (Poppy seeds, Cashew and Green Chilies) into the oil and add cumin powder, red chili powder, sugar and salt to it. Cook it for 2 minutes.
8.  After 2 minutes, add the Fennel Seeds powder and Garam Masala (Hot Spices).
9.  Now add 2-3 cups of boiled water and make a thick gravy.
10.  Add the fried Paneer into the gravy and lastly add the Kasuri Methi (Fenugreek Leaves) and put 1 tablespoon of Ghee.
11.  Cook it for 15 minutes.

Your Kasuri Panner is ready to be served!!!  You can serve it with "Roti" or "Parathas".
